What type of Advertising Pens should I go for

Advertising pens are a great way to promote your business, they are fairly cheap, don't take up much space and are readily taken by most people.  The great thing about pens is they get used over and over, so they re-advertise your business each time they are used. They key to making an advertising pen work is to make sure it looks and feels valuable, and writes well.

Many online printing companies can also produce promotional merchandise like advertising pens. Do some research and request some samples, most companies will happily send you out a selection of the type of pens they can print up for you.

When considering promotional advertising, the most important things to get right are the aim of the campaign, your target audience and of course the product you are targeting them with. Once you have these things set you are ready to go into the finer detail of the product. Pens are often seen as cheap and cheerful ways to get your businesses name out and about, which is technically true, however you need to be careful with the "cheap" aspect of this or your pens could end up in the bin with every other bit of junk mail and rubbish. There is nothing worse than a pen that leaks, or doesn't write properly, likewise a pen that feels cheap and nasty isn't going to be the first one picked up. Try and strike a balance between price and quality when choosing the pen you are going to have customised. From the promotional product samplesyou recieve choose a pen that looks good so if it is on a desk with other pens it is the one you want to pick up, then make sure that when you do pick it up it feels good - people equate a slightly heavier pen with a good quality pen. By making the pen look and feel good it is going to be the one that gets chosen over all the others every time, you want to make people remember that using your advertising pen was a good experience - sounds cheesy but writing with a nice pen makes all the difference. No-one enjoys signing a contract or writing down their details with a nasty, scratchy pen. It reflects badly on the name that is on the pen too, which is the complete opposite of the purpose of having a promotional product!

It does sound silly but it really is the little things that count, so don't make the mistake of letting sub-standard advertising pens ruin a great advertising campaign.
