Natural home remedy for acne
65Acne can occur at anytime, however it is most commonly seen in teenagers. It is thought that the hormonal imbalances caused by puberty lead to the skin producing too much sebum. This then leads to pimples, spots and inflamed sore skin. There are many different types of acne remedy available for acne, however it is possible to create your own home remedy for acne.
The basis for most conventional acne treatments is drying out the excess oils to prevent further spots forming. The problem with this is it dries the skin out and can lead to irritation of the skin as a result of the harsh chemicals needed to dry the oils out. Some unwanted side effects of acne treatments can include dry flaky skin, skin irritation, red patches and a burning or tingling sensation as a result of the cream being applied. While for many people these side effects are bearable in order to get to the end result of being acne free, for others they just add to the misery.
There are many different natural acne treatments that can be used, most of which will have little if no unwanted side effects. The thing to remember with natural treatments is they take a little longer to work than medicinal treatments as they are working with your body as opposed to against it. Where a cream may show results in a couple of days, using a preparation of tea tree oil for example may take a couple of weeks to show the same results, however there will be no unwanted side effects and the result will be long lasting, more than likely permanent.
Other than tea tree oil, which in itself is almost a cure-all, you could try using avocado in your fight against acne. Avocados are rich in fatty oils, which may deter you from using it on already oily skin, however they are also rich in vitamins A,C,E and B which are all essential for good skin. Avocado also has strong anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties so is perfect for fighting acne. Simply make a pulp from avocado and apply to your skin - it doesn't matter how long you leave it on for as it will not have any detrimental effects on your skin, although walking around with dried avocado on your face is never going to be a good look! You could also grate some fresh horseradish and infuse it in hot milk for half an hour, strain and use as a face wash, a variation on this is to leave a teaspoon of grated horseradish to dissolve in a cup of cider vinegar for a week, then use as a face wash - warning - this will STING but is very very effective.
These are just a couple of the natural home remedy for acne that you can try, they may not be the nicest smelling and are a bit messy at times but they will give you fantastic results with time.
